The BBB in North Alabama is warning everyone to beware of travel clubs. The main complaint from purchasers of the Travel Club is promises of huge discounts on Hotel, airfare and cruises, but they fail to deliver on these discounts despite the high cost of joining.
Over the last few years hundreds of complaints have been filed nationwide with the BBB against travel clubs operating in the US. The Travel clubs are either presenting in person, by phone, or though email with high-pressure sales presentations. Many promising free airline tickets, gas cards or ticket to shows.
Some consumers paid as much as $8,000 for the membership that gave them prices on travel they later found could be had without the membership. Many have found getting a refund for fees paid for the travel club have been near impossible to get refunded.
